This band saw was manufactured in the late 19th century by J.A. Fay and Egan.

 With a 36" capacity this is an enormous machine with a blade that travels 60 m.p.h.

 I use it for resawing veneer and panels up to 18" wide.  Originally it was driven by

 a belt  powered by either steam or  a waterwheel.
